Homecoming
A journey back to ourselves and God
Finding our way
I’m Anya, and I am one of those Christians who was brought up as a Christian. And yet, I have often felt lost. For the last twenty years I have been on a journey of wrestling with the 'how' of the Christian faith.
How do we live this out in a way that leads to deep flourishing and genuine change?
How do we live in a way that is different to the fast paced and pressured culture that is around us?
How do we move beyond the surface level, to something that meets us in the darkness and depths of life?
Whilst a lot of this has meant facing and accepting my own brokenness, God has been inviting me on a slower and deeper journey that has been more fulfilling than I could ever have imagined. There is freedom in discovering that the way there is down, rather than up; away from status, becoming somebody and even appearing to be a good Christian. There is a grassroots movement of people that are rediscovering old rhythms and exploring new paths. I want to share some of my journey, and some of these other voices too.
This is a place for those who long to come home to the love of God, who want to explore off the well trodden path, and who dare to believe that there is beauty to be found in the wild places.
